The Argentine star is now in the sights of European clubs

The player is Kevin Zenon, who is causing a stir with his performances for Boca Juniors this season.

It looks like the winger could be the Argentine giants’ next big export to European football, with a number of the continent’s top clubs reportedly keeping an eye on him.

This claim was made last week by O Jogo, who revealed that some teams sense an opportunity in January as the 21-year-old has a £13m release clause in his Boca contract.

Tottenham receives a boost

TBR Football now reveal that Tottenham are among a growing list of Zenon’s admirers, with several Premier League teams scouting the youngster in recent months.

According to the report, while the Argentina U21 international has become a regular part of Fernando Gago’s squad this season, Boca expect to lose him in January.

However, it is currently not at all clear where Zenon will end up. His admirers include Napoli, Atalanta, Lyon, Sporting Lisbon, Atlético Madrid, Liverpool, Newcastle, Man United, Fulham and Everton.

Does Tottenham need Zenon?

While in the summer you might have had the feeling that Spurs were well staffed on the outskirts, that has now changed.

With Dejan Kulusevski being moved to the number eight role permanently, Ange Postecoglou may want to have another exciting, direct winger in his squad and Zenon could be just the ticket.

However, the Spurs boss must consider how signing the Argentine would impact Mikey Moore’s development, as the Tottenham academy graduate appears ready to star on the big stage.
